Situated in the malaria-free Amakhala Game Reserve, Bukela is a secluded 5-star safari lodge tucked away in a secret river valley. Comprised of four thatched suites and ten luxury safari tents linked by wooden walkways, the lodge blends African elegance with modern sophistication. What Your Tour Includes
We’ll collect you from your accommodation or airport in Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha), East London, or other locations, and transport you in comfortable, air-conditioned comfort in a sedan, minibus, or 4×4 to the lodge. Along the way, we’ll ensure your travel is hassle-free, safe, and stress-free.
Directions
Amakhala Bukela Lodge is situated some 70 km east of Port Elizabeth, and the drive is about an hour from the airport. Traveling from Port Elizabeth, we will take the N2 highway towards Grahamstown (Makhanda) and remain on it until we notice the R342 turn-off signposted for Amakhala Game Reserve. From there, we will follow the reserve signposts which take us directly to Bukela Lodge. If you are traveling from Grahamstown, the trip is shorter, about 30 minutes, and the R342 also goes directly into the reserve. You won’t need to worry about the directions or the condition of the roads with our service, we’ll take care of all that.
